Switch Hospitality Management will open a new aparthotel in Birmingham next month on the site of the former Royal Angus Hotel.
The Aparthotel Birmingham Snowhill, first announced in August as part of a redevelopment project in the UK city, is set to open in mid-December with 161 studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, and suites across nine floors, including some rooms with private terraces and interconnecting suites that can accommodate up to eight people.
A short walk from Birmingham Snow Hill station, the hotel also features a 12-seat boardroom, modern co-working and meeting spaces and an on-site NISA convenience store.
All rooms feature a fully-equipped kitchen and washer-dryer, while technology on offer includes dedicated wifi hotspots in each apartment and self-check in portals.
Switch Hospitality managing director John Angus said: “Since the pre-planning stages of Royal Angus’ redevelopment, we identified an immediate need for high-quality, modern accommodation that could cater to both corporate and leisure visitors, particularly as the region continues to be the focus of increased tourist attention and inward investment.
“With this in mind, we’re very much looking forward to opening and continuing to manage Aparthotel Birmingham Snowhill, which will offer a luxury hotel experience with the space and flexibility of a self-catered apartment,” he added.
