AMSTERDAM, June 29 (Reuters) – The Netherlands is talking to “three potential and interested suppliers” to build two new nuclear power plants, Energy Minister Rob Jetten said on Thursday in a letter to parliament.
It concerns the American company Westinghouse, the French state-owned company EDF (EDF.PA) and South Korea’s KHNP.
The Netherlands is planning to build two new nuclear power plants by 2035 which will play an important role in the country’s energy transition, as it aims to make its power production carbon neutral by 2040.
