In recognition of its contributions to the manufacturing industry and innovation, the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd., has been recognised at this year’s edition of the ECOWAS Manufacturing Excellence Awards (EMEA) organised by Independent Newspapers, BusinessDay- Ghana and African Consolidated Analytical Limited.

The ECOWAS Manufacturing Excellence Award is aimed at celebrating outstanding individuals and organisations in the manufacturing industry that have demonstrated innovation excellence across their operations and have made remarkable contributions to the growth of the local economy.

The awards ceremony, which was held in Lagos recently, saw NBC receive awards across three key categories including “ECOWAS Soft Drink Manufacturing Company of the Year,” and “ECOWAS Youth Empowerment Manufacturing Company of the Year,” underscoring the firm’s commitment to job creation, skill development, and the empowerment of young Africans while fostering growth within the manufacturing industry.

NBC’s Managing Director, Goran Sladic, was also recognised as the Manufacturing CEO of the year, in recognition of his leadership, strategic vision, and contributions to the manufacturing sector’s growth and development in the ECOWAS region.

Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director, NBC Ltd., Oluwasoromidayo George, expressed her gratitude to EMEA for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to championing innovative and sustainable practices in the sector.
