Burnley Council is delighted to announce that our FREE “Go For It” skills for business workshops are returning for another series in May and June.

Ideal for new businesses, or anyone considering setting up for the first time, the three workshops will cover business start-up essentials, marketing and finance. Our workshop facilitators are experienced business professionals who are passionate about bringing their knowledge and skills to Burnley businesses.

It follows the success of previous Go For It events, including a series earlier this year.

Feedback from the latest events showed that delegates really enjoyed and benefitted from the programme:

“I have been amazed by the quality of advice and ease with which you can access this invaluable help. As a new start-up business in Burnley, I have learned everything I need to have the best start possible. I highly recommend anyone thinking of starting their own business to attend.” Paul Walsh – One Tap Marketing

“All the people on the course took different ideas of starting up business to the group and all groups gelled really well making it a very friendly, positive atmosphere. An excellent learning curve for myself and lots of information to digest.” Kathryn Passmore (prospective start up)

The council’s strategic head of economy and growth Kate Ingram said: “The Go For It workshops have proved a great success, so much so that we wanted to stage another series of events as soon as possible to provide essential help and support to new-start businesses across the borough.”
