Mervyn Allen has joined Mintz as a partner as the firm launches its real estate practice in Canada, the firm said Monday.

Allen has acted for clients on complex acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions, representing landlords, tenants, entrepreneurs, pension funds, and banks, according to Mintz.

He served as co-chair of the commercial real estate group and chair of the commercial leasing practice at a previous firm.
