Minor Hotels has announced plans to debut its NH Hotels and NH Collection brands in Paris as part of the group’s wider expansion across Europe.

The group has partnered with asset management firm Swiss Life Asset Managers to launch three NH Hotels – its four-star brand – in the first quarter of 2024, with one of the properties to be rebranded as a five-star NH Collection hotel in 2025 following a renovation.

These include the 207-room NH Paris Gare de l’Est and the 103-room NH Opéra Paris Faubourg, both of which will be refurbished and will include restaurant and bars. The third property, with 90 rooms, will open as NH Paris Champs-Elysées and will then be launched as NH Collection in 2025 following a renovation.

“Our team has been searching for the right opportunities in this key market for some time, so we are pleased to announce that, together with Swiss Life Asset Managers, Minor Hotels will arrive in Paris not with one but with three hotels,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and group CEO of parent company Minor International.

“We believe this is an amazing opportunity to grow with two of our brands in the second most visited city in the world and home to the 2024 Olympics,” he added.

The three Paris hotels will join the group’s current portfolio of six properties in France, located in Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Nice. The group has also recently opened NH-branded hotels in Italy, Germany and Portugal, with future openings planned in Finland and across Asia.
