Three more businesses, including two eating establishments, are coming to Metro Crossing, bringing that retail center to near capacity.
“The center is at 99% occupancy rate,” said Mandi Backhaus, associate broker at the Omaha-based commercial real estate firm The Lerner Company. “We still have two vacant bays.”
The three new tenants plan to open their doors next year, she said.
Two of them are fast casual restaurants: Noodles & Company and Jersey Mike’s Subs.
Noodles & Company will be located at 3825 Denmark Drive, Suite 200, next door to Qdoba. The chain offers a variety of noodle dishes along with soups and salads.
Jersey Mike’s will be located at 3825 Denmark Drive, Suite 700, next to Starbucks. It features New Jersey style submarine sandwiches.

The third arrival, Hotworx Fitness, will be at 3502 Metro Drive, Suite 300, next to Sakura Sushi, The workout chain, which has been opening up locations across the metro area, offers infrared sauna workouts.
Metro Crossing is a sprawling 310,000-square-foot retail center that boasts a lineup of anchor stores such as Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx, not to mention a large number of dining options.
“Metro Crossing Shopping Center does extremely well and services a large trade area of Council Bluffs, southwest Iowa and beyond,” Backhaus said. “We’re excited to keep the momentum going.”
