MEO Core Four Business Planning Course to begin Sept. 5

Maui Economic Opportunity Business Development Center Director David Daly teaches a Core Four Business Planning course at MEO in July. A new Core Four series begins Sept. 5.

WAILUKU — The popular Core Four Business Planning series, offered by Maui Economic Opportunity’s Business Development Center, gets underway on Sept. 5 in-person or online via Zoom.

The five-week series meeting twice a week covers writing a business plan and offers information entrepreneurs need to start, operate and grow a business. Core Four is perfect for those thinking of starting a business or who just started one and need further direction.

An added benefit of completing Core Four is becoming eligible for a business plan competitive grant of up to $20,000 for startup expenses.

The 24 hours of total instruction runs 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Sept. 5 to Oct. 5.

The course costs $75. Financial assistance is available.

Enrollment forms also can be picked up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays at MEO’s Family Center at 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.

An introductory gathering to provide more detailed information about Core Four will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Maui County Business Resource Center in the new Maui County Service Center, 110 Ala’ihi St., Ste. 209, Kahului.
