Petra Wattigney Staten was promoted to clinic manger at Harwood Center. She was previously a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Harwood. Staten will work with the center’s clinic director and help with the support of onsite and offsite needs of the clinic by carrying a partial caseload of clients, classroom and schedule support, and the development of the Registered Behavior Technician team.

Dr. Quin Throckmorton and Dr. Tyler Brolin, both orthopaedic surgeons with Campbell Clinic, won the prestigious Neer Award for a second time, having first won it in 2016. The award is presented annually by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) Foundation for outstanding shoulder/elbow research. ASES is a society made up of leading national and international orthopaedic surgeons who specialize in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. The team won the Neer basic science award for their work on muscle activation patterns after reverse shoulder replacement.

Regional One Health selected Jason Gerrard as the medical director for its Focused Ultrasound program. The program treats patients with MR-guided focused ultrasound, an incisionless technology that treats essential tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson’s disease. He received his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson and completed his neurosurgery residency at Harvard, followed by an epilepsy surgery fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Gerrard is also a functional neurosurgeon with Semmes Murphey Clinic. Prior coming to Memphis, he was director of Functional Neurosurgery and Neurotrauma at Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital.

Trezevant Retirement Community received an Excellence in Spiritual Care Award from HealthCare Chaplaincy Network, a nonprofit healthcare organization that helps people faced with the distress of illness and suffering to find comfort and meaning. The award signifies that Trezevant is addressing spiritual and religious needs through best practices in spiritual care.
