(ANSA) – ROME, APR 28 – Premier Giorgia Meloni on Friday
hailed new growth figures showing GDP up 0.5% in the first
quarter of the year saying the Italian economy was growing
faster than predicted.
“The Italian economy is growing beyond estimates and spurs our
government to do even more to support those who produce wealth
in our country”, Meloni wrote on social media, commenting on the
ISTAT GDP estimates.
“These figures are proof of this,’ she added: ‘When put in a
position to unleash their full potential, our businesses know
how to make a difference, making Italy strong and competitive
and promoting the well-being of all Italians. (ANSA).
