(ANSA) – ROME, APR 27 – Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday
called Italy’s big three trade union federations for talks on
Sunday night, the eve of a cabinet meeting when a highly
anticipated decree cutting the labour tax wedge and launching
other economic measures is expected to be launched.
The meeting has been convened at the premier’s office Palazzo
Chigi on Sunday afternoon, at 7pm, to be chaired by Meloni with
trade unions on the work and inclusion income decree and the tax
wedge measures, which will go before the cabinet the following
day, May 1.
The inclusion income is one of the government’s replacements for
the ‘citizenship wage’ basic income which has been progressively
scrapped. (ANSA).
