KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd has been selected by Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd (BHPetrol) to be part of BHPetrol’s wide-scale digitalisation exercise to improve customer experience at their retail stations.
Under the collaboration, Maxis as a network provider will deploy its managed SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) to power BHPetrol’s outdoor payment terminals at every petrol pump and point of sale systems at all its retail stations in Peninsular Malaysia.
To date, Maxis’ SD-WAN has already been rolled out to more than 240 locations, with implementation at other stations expected to be completed by year-end.
“This important partnership enables Maxis to offer our unique capabilities and experience in providing next-generation networking technologies. We look forward to working together to support BHPetrol’s digital transformation efforts,” Maxis chief executive officer Goh Seow Eng said in a statement.
Meanwhile, BHPetrol chief executive officer Ir. Azizul Azily Ahmad said the strategic partnership is aligned with its commitment to harness the power of digitalisation in accelerating its growth.
“We are confident that this partnership will enable us to foster greater innovation, improve operations, and importantly, elevate the overall customer experience at BHPetrol,” he said.
In conjunction with the collaboration, both Maxis and BHPetrol are offering exclusive cash rebates to Maxis and Hotlink users until June 30. To take advantage of these deals, users simply need to download them from the Maxis or Hotlink app and redeem them at participating BHPetrol stations.
