Global advisory firm OC&C Strategy Consultants has bolstered its senior leadership team with the appointment of a new partner in London. Matt Wills will assume the role after spending 11 years at the firm.

Matt Wills joined OC&C Strategy Consultants from university in 2012. Since arriving as a graduate in economics and management, he has developed significant expertise in the retail and leisure sectors, with a particular passion for working for retailers, brands and products he has a day-to-day relationship with.

Serving the firm as a partner, Wills will also continue to develop OC&C’s expertise in the energy transition field, with a specific focus on electric vehicle charging. According to a release from the firm, Wills views energy transition as “a significant cross-sector opportunity for OC&C”, and looks forward to “collaborating closely with teams across the business” to strengthen OC&C’s position in the market.

With investors increasingly keen not to be caught out by backing companies that do not take these risks seriously, most companies have now come to the realisation and understanding that proactively improving upon ESG issues improves business outcomes by responding to social needs. Amid this heightened demand for consultants to support transitioning to sustainable business, the global sustainability consulting market to grow to $16 billion by 2027.

Wills becomes part of OC&C’s partnership along two other appointments internationally. As it looks to strengthen its European presence, OC&C has also installed Casper Roex to its partner team in the Netherlands, and Caterina Sanson in Italy. The partners will each support clients, including global enterprises, national champions and investors, in developing actionable strategies that drive growth and resilience in the face of a challenging and rapidly evolving business environment.

Will Hayllar, OC&C’s global managing partner, commented, ”We are delighted to have elected three such high quality individuals to join our Partnership and help to continue to drive the growth we are seeing by providing high quality bespoke advice to our clients around the world. The fact that all three have successfully developed their careers at OC&C is a source of particular pride for us, reflecting a culture that supports rapid development of talented people to live up to our aim to be the best home for the best strategy talent.”
