Marriott Hotels has opened a new 398-room property in the southern German city of Munich.

Munich Marriott Hotel City West is based in the city’s Westend district and also features four dining outlets, roof terrace, gym and M Club lounge for Elite Marriott Bonvoy members.

There are 20 meetings and events spaces within the property, including a 916 square metre grand ballroom with its own entrance, which can be divided into four sections. The hotel’s rooftop terrace can also host up to 400 guests for corporate and social events who can enjoy views across the city and the Bavarian Alps.

Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice president, premium and select brands, Europe, Middle East and Africa, at Marriott International, said the new property would become a “true flagship property for Marriott Hotels”.

“Set to become one of the most desirable hotels in Germany for both corporate and social events, the opening of this hotel brings innovation to the forefront of the city,” added Schulze-Potgieter.
