Marriott International has added its Edition brand to Italy, with the opening of a hotel in Rome this month.
Edition is one of Marriott’s luxury brands and the debut in the Italian capital follows recent openings in Madrid, Spain (2022) and Reykjavik, Iceland (2021).
The 91-room hotel includes three bars, a rooftop lounge, bar and pool, a show-kitchen restaurant, wellness and spa facility and a courtyard garden that can also be used as an outdoor dining space.
Housed in a restored palazzo built in the 1940s, the hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and Roma Termini train station.
The Rome hotel is Marriott’s 16th Edition property, with outposts in New York, London, Miami Beach, Barcelona, Bodrum, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Tokyo and Tampa.
Edition is a partnership between designer Ian Schrager and Marriott.
