Marriott International has announced 13 new signings in Turkey, as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts reaches a landmark 100th hotel in the country.
Wyndham is further strengthening its position in Turkey, which is its fifth largest market globally by hotel count.
The group celebrated its 100th hotel milestone with the addition of the 176-room Days Hotel by Wyndham Istanbul Esenyurt. It now has 105 open and operating hotels and a development pipeline of around 20 properties.

Marriott International’s 13 signings will further expand the company’s footprint in the country where it currently has a portfolio of 48 properties and nearly 8,000 rooms across 21 brands.
Following the opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Istanbul Fulya (the country debut for the brand), the group has announced the signing of Marriott Executive Apartments Vadistanbul and Marriott Executive Apartments Istanbul Tema – both expected to open next year.
Also expected next year is Delta Hotels by Marriott Istanbul Karakoy and Aloft Hotels’ second property in Turkey following the signing of Aloft Istanbul Karakoy, which will add 100 rooms in the market by 2024.
In a brand debut for the country, Fairfield by Marriott Istanbul Yenibosna will offer a 192-key property on a mixed-use development in the Yenibosna district, which will also feature the 90-room Residence Inn by Marriott Istanbul Yenibosna. Both properties are projected to open in 2025.
Jerome Briet, Marriott International chief development officer Europe, Middle East & Africa said: “These deal signings are a testament to the trust owners and franchisees have in Marriott International and the strong demand for our captivating portfolio of brands in the Turkish market.”
Last year Turkey received more than 51 million inbound visitors and is targeting 60 million travellers in 2023.

- Istanbul Marriott Hotel Pendik.
- Days Hotel by Wyndham Istanbul Esenyurt. The hotel is close to the Tuyap Fair convention and congress centre and the CNR Expo. It offers 176 rooms and 120sqm of event space.
- Istanbul New Airport Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Wyndham’s first Trademark Collection by Wyndham hotel in the country is located in the fast-growing Arnavutkoy district, 12 km from Istanbul Airport.
Opening this year
- Operla Airport Hotels, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Expected to open
at the end of this year the new hotel will be located 5km from the
New Istanbul Airport in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul. - Wyndham Istanbul Old City. Expected to open at the end of this year,
the new hotel will be located in the heart of Istanbul’s Old City, only a
few minutes away from the world-famous Topkapi Palace Museum, Blue
Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Basilica Cistern. - Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio in Taksim Square plans to offer 61 rooms by the end of this year.

- For longer stays, business travellers can look forward to Marriott Executive Apartments Vadistanbul and Marriott Executive Apartments Istanbul Tema.
- Delta Hotels by Marriott Istanbul Karakoy.

- An Autograph Collection Hotel in Cappadocia is anticipated to join the brand’s collection of independent hotels with 153 rooms.
