Lufthansa is to update its cabins on aircraft serving the airline’s short and medium-haul routes.

Passengers will enjoy the changes from Spring 2025 on the
carrier’s 38 Airbus A320s which are already in Lufthansa’s fleet.

Lufthansa said the aircraft would be updated during normal line maintenance, and would not be out of service for the upgrades.

The changes to the A320 cabins include increased hand luggage storage with overhead lockers holding almost twice as many bags, a USB port in every seat, a holder for tablets or phones in every seat, and more legroom with a new ergonomic seat.

According to the carrier, the new seats from the Italian manufacturer
Geven will offer more legroom with the same seat spacing because of the
ergonomic shaping of the backrests.

Although there is more luggage storage onboard, because bags will be stowed vertically, cabin luggage restrictions will remain the same.
