Lubbock’s business news includes Jones AT&T Stadium, Gandy’s, projects

Hello A-J readers!

We have some interesting projects in the works, so this week’s business news is a little light.

On Thursday, I dipped into a style I have not done in a while – food reviews. Toward the end of August, media was invited to try out the new menu items at Jones AT&T Stadium. Just like last year, I tried out several of the items and decided to share my thoughts ahead of the first home game. Highlights included the chicken quesadilla, mac & cheese with barbecue and, surprisingly, the pepperoni and cheese pizzas.

If you are interested to see more, check out my review to see which four items I chose.

One of the several projects I have been working on involved Gandy’s, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this week. I met with several company officials who discussed how the company got started, survived and continues to thrive. Keep an eye out for that deeper dive in the upcoming days.

September’s business news is slowing down a little, so I can get back to some statistical projects, which will publish over the next few weeks. Hopefully, the first of an interesting restaurants series will be introduced next week, pending the nature of news.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
