LOT to upgrade all cabins in Dreamliner retrofit

LOT Polish Airlines has announced a major upgrade to its wide-body Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

The retrofit will feature a new cabin design, replacement of seats in all classes, installation of a new in-flight entertainment system, and internet and Bluetooth connectivity.

The seating configuration in business class will change to a 1-2-1 herringbone formation, giving each passenger access to the aisle at any point during the journey.

Business class seats will also have an individual sliding door and passengers will enjoy more space and additional storage for small items.

Premium economy class will offer more room and the new seat shape and spacing (which is the same as Emirates’ premium economy offering) will make the aisle easier to access.

Passengers on LOT’s long-haul flights will enjoy a new
entertainment system featuring 17.3 inch 4K resolution screens in
business class and 13.3 inch screens in premium economy and economy class.

Passengers travelling in all classes can connect using Bluetooth
technology and all seats will come equipped with USB-C
charging ports as standard.

Izabela Leszczyńska, director of product development and customer experience department at LOT Polish Airlines said: “This will be a brand new quality of travel – from boarding and the overall experience, to the comfort of the seats and the enjoyment of the in-flight entertainment, right down to the tiny details that we hope our passengers will appreciate.”

The retrofit will cover LOT’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet and will be completed by 2026.
