The mental health index in Singapore is 63.2, indicating strained mental health.

The impact of mental health issues amongst employees goes beyond the walls of their organisations.

According to a joint report from Aon and TELUS Health, the total economic burden of lost productivity due to anxiety and depression in Singapore is $15.7b (US$11.72b) annually.

The report added that failure to address employees’ mental health results in rising business costs and presenteeism.

Data from the same report showed that Singapore’s mental health index is 63.2, indicating that employees’ mental health in the country is strained. 

In Singapore, almost half of employees (43%) also reported that their mental health has negatively affected their work productivity. Some (32%) also said they are finding it more difficult to concentrate on their work.
