Local Better Business Bureau wants to help you with different generations in the office

The Southeast Texas Better Business Bureau is offering a new quarterly series starting this spring.

The Consumer Education Foundation, a nonprofit arm of the Better Business Bureau serving Southeast Texas, is hosting a new Brunch and Learn series that will kick off from 10  to 11:30 a.m. March 30 at the MCM Elegante.

“We are proud to launch our new Brunch and Learn series in 2023,” Better Business Bureau President and CEO Darren Erwin said in a news release. “Our Consumer Education Foundation is committed to strengthening community trust by empowering businesses and consumers through educational programming.”

Business Consultant and Owner of CAE Solutions Craig Escamilla will be the featured speaker of the event. Escamilla is involved with the Rotary Club of Beaumont and the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce.

“He helps businesses with strategic plan development and implementation, succession planning, team management tools and communication, resolving conflicts, and customer acquisition and retention,” the release states. “Craig also coaches clients and presents on strategy, business communication, improving meetings, productivity, leadership, and ethics. He has published case studies and articles on strategic planning, leadership, ethical behavior, and has given speeches and presentations at local, national and international conferences.”

According to a news release, the bureau this year is focusing on “Business across the Generations.” The topics of focus include generational differences in the workplace and team learning, transitioning through generations, growth and evolving, future generation involvement with marketplace and more.

“The Brunch and Learn series is a platform for us to help educate business leaders within our local business communities,” Erwin said in the release. “We aim to provide relevant content on the evolving workplace.”

Tickets and sponsored tables are currently available for purchase. Individual tickets are $25 and tables of 8 start at $450. Registration needs to be done in advance online.

The other three 2023 Bunch and Learn events will be held from 10 to 11 a.m May 18, August 3 and November 9 at the MCM Elegante.
