A children’s role playing centre in Heywood celebrated its first anniversary with a free play session and complimentary breakfast for its regular visitors.

Little Play Town in Heywood celebrated the event on 8 October, hosting a special birthday party as a ‘thank you’ for its regulars.

A complimentary breakfast of pastries, fruit pots, crumpets, cakes and hot drinks was put on for everyone and the children had fun playing across the two floors which feature real-life scenarios.

Themed play areas include construction, a stage and theatre, a doctors’ surgery, a police station, a supermarket, and a veterinary practice.

Jackie Kelly, who owns Little Play Town Heywood, said it was “fantastic to be able to give back to the families who have visited the most and supported us since we have opened.”

She said: “The children all had a great time and loved the fact they were at Little Play Town’s birthday; they were especially pleased to receive a party bag at the end of the party.

“It was really fantastic to be able to give back to the families who have visited the most and supported us since we have opened. Our most regular visitor has visited on 28 separate occasions and held a birthday party here.”

One of the children’s parents said on Facebook that Little Play Town has become “such a big part” of her daughter’s childhood and she has “learned so much here,” adding: “It’s so brilliant to celebrate one year of Little Play Town.”
