The Director-General, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Dr. Chinyere Almona, has said that the Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), which kicks off today, will promote commerce, trade and industry for local manufacturers, businesses and stakeholders.
Speaking with The Guardian, the fair organiser, Almona, said the three-day free entry event will also go beyond to explore the world of commerce, innovation, and culture and encouraged Nigerians to support local entrepreneurs and manufacturers.
The fair, which started today (November 3), will run till Sunday and will be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. LITF is renowned as one of Africa’s most significant trade expos, showcasing a wide array of products and services from across the globe. It serves as a hub for business professionals, entrepreneurs, and consumers to connect, collaborate and explore exciting opportunities.
Almona said that over 1,000 exhibitors from various industries will showcase their products and services, offering a unique chance to discover new trends and innovative solutions. “There would also be opportunities to connect with industry leaders, potential business partners and experts in different fields. It would also have an entertainment village with live music, dance performances and other attractions alongside a children’s corner.”
She added that Chinese exhibitors in various sectors with several products would be present and encouraged entrepreneurs to be present in order to seal commercial deals and save travel costs.
“We are excited to welcome the Lagos community and visitors from all over to this 10-day international fair. The first three free days will be to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the Chamber and provide the needed opportunity for everyone. It’s an excellent opportunity to showcase the incredible products and services available in Lagos and beyond, fostering business growth and cultural exchange. Don’t miss this unique chance to be part of the LITF and explore the world of business and culture,” she said.
