LDC’s East Midlands and East of England team took home the Investment Award at the East Midlands Business Masters Awards 2023.
The awards – which celebrate leading voices in the regional business community – received a record number of quality entries this year and demonstrates why the East Midlands continues to be one of the most economically dynamic regions outside of the South East, according to TheBusinessDesk’s Midlands editor.
LDC won the Investment Award in recognition of its “significant commitment” to the region. It followed a standout year for the team during which it delivered three new investments, most recently supporting Stonbury, a leading UK water and environmental sustainability specialist. The team was also commended for its successful growth partnerships with Derbyshire-based Forest Holidays and Nottingham-headquartered Littlefish, both of which it exited in 2022.
LDC has also grown its team in the region having recently welcomed Investment Director Simon Peacock, and Investment Managers Mikayil Salahov and Nicole Wong, in addition to promoting Hannah Hutchinson to Origination Executive.
The team is passionate about playing its part in local communities and is currently funding and volunteering at local food banks across Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Cambridge and Norwich.
Elsewhere, it was great to see accolades for LDC Top 50 alumni, including Byron Dixon of Micro-Fresh who was named Ambassador of the Year and Rob Darby of 200 Degrees Coffee, who picked up Hospitality & Leisure Business of the Year and Large Business of the Year.
LDC extends its congratulations to all of the companies and individuals that won awards or were shortlisted at East Midlands Business Masters 2023. You can view the full list of winners here.
