London Business School (LBS) is among 29 new members of the Turing University Network.
The network, first launched in April 2023, is an initiative of The Alan Turing Institute and offers UK universities with an interest in data science and AI the opportunity to engage and collaborate both with the Institute and its broader networks in academia, industry and the public sector.
The network is a key component of The Alan Turing Institute’s strategy and supports the Institute in achieving its three ambitious goals: advance world-class research and apply it to national and global challenges, build skills for the future and drive an informed public conversation.
Jean Pauphilet, Assistant Professor of Management Science and Operations at LBS, will act as the School’s Academic Liaison with the Institute.
He said: “We’re truly excited to become a part of this vibrant research community and actively contribute to the mission of the Institute, which perfectly resonates with our own: to have a profound impact on the way the world does business, and the way business impacts the world – in this instance, through the lens of AI.”
Dr Jean Innes, Chief Executive Officer of The Alan Turing Institute, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome our new members to the network. We hope that they will benefit from being part of our data science and AI group and find opportunities for new, meaningful collaborations across the data science and AI landscape.”
