Kyvernitis Travel-AMEX GBT Announces Actions to Strengthen Branch in Thessaloniki | GTP Headlines

Kyvernitis Travel S.A., the official representative of American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) in Greece has announced targeted actions to strengthen its branch in Thessaloniki.

The news was announced during a recent event held by KYVERNITIS TRAVEL | AMEX GBT for its Thessaloniki Branch and attended by 60 guests from the business world, as well as from the wider tourism and institutional sectors of the Greek northern city.

Following the presentation of the travel services for the company’s departments – Business Travel, Crew Travel, Meetings & Events, as well as Inbound & Outbound Luxury Leisure Travel – Kyvernitis Travel CEO Christos Kyvernitis listed targeted actions to strengthen the Thessaloniki branch, which include:

– empowering the local team
– participation of the KYVERNITIS TRAVEL | AMEX GBT at the 2023 Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum event at the Makedonia Palace in April, not only as an exhibitor but also as a sponsor and the official travel agency of the event
– promoting Thessaloniki as a city break destination, from the channels provided by the company’s inbound Leisure Department, Eclectic Greece
– promoting Thessaloniki as the ideal MICE Destination in Greece, from the company’s Meetings & Events Department, with the potential to become a wider hub for the Balkan Peninsula.

“The KYVERNITIS TRAVEL | AMEX GBT Thessaloniki Branch, having a history of 36 years, will serve as a hub for the travel needs of Northern Greece,” said Kyvernitis Travel Director of Sales Niki Romana.

Founded in 1974, Kyvernitis Travel Group has grown to be one of Greece’s leading integrated corporate and leisure travel service providers and a key player in the global travel industry.

Kyvernitis Travel in 2020 acquired the proprietary office of American Express Global Business Travel in Greece and Cyprus. Since 2020 it has operated as a licensee of American Express GBT and also offers a diverse range of travel services from its offices in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Cyprus.

The event was supported by Qatar Airways and included a presentation of the airline’s new, Special Premium check-in counters, as well as the aircraft with entertainment options, from Oryx One to the special privileges, provided to the Silver, Gold, and Platinum cards holders.
