Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) revised an MOU for mutual cooperation in the field of the post-management of nuclear power plants with Orano, a French state-run company, at KHNP’s headquarters in Gyeongju, Korea on April 25.

In 2017, KHNP signed the mutual cooperation MOU with Orano to secure overseas experience and exchange information on nuclear power plant decommissioning, radioactive waste, and spent nuclear fuel management.

Afterwards, the two companies revised the MOU to strengthen their partnership in the field of the post-management of nuclear power plants based on trust and exchanges of technology and human resources.

With this MOU revision, the two companies have agreed to further solidify their cooperative projects to nurture professionals. In particular, they will actively promote the dispatch of Korean technical personnel related to nuclear power plant decommissioning to overseas sites and training by invited professional lecturers and advice from technical experts.
