Kelley School online MBA, MS business degrees No. 1 nationally in U.S. News online program rankings

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Continuing its tradition of excellence in online education, the Indiana University Kelley School of Business is ranked first for its online MBA degree and Master of Science in Business program in the 2023 U.S. News and World Report Best Online Program rankings. The university also boasts 11 additional degree programs in the top 10 in this year’s rankings, including programs in nursing and education and through IU Online.

The Kelley School of Business online MBA not only tied for first overall but also was in the top 10 in all program specialties ranked in 2023. Its finance, general management and business analytics specialty degrees all ranked second, while marketing ranked third. The Kelley MBA program also ranked sixth among programs serving veterans.

Ascending into the top 10 in this year’s national rankings is the IU School of Nursing, which achieved its highest ranking to date at 10th overall. Along with its overall top 10 ranking, the School of Nursing ranks fourth nationally for its Master of Nursing Education and 17th for its Master of Nursing Administration.

IU Online, the university’s home to all of these ranked programs as well as more than 200 other fully online/distance-learning degree options ranging from certificate programs to doctoral degrees, ranked No. 1 in Indiana and tied for 21st nationally among online bachelor’s degree programs. The online bachelor’s in psychology, which is offered through IU East’s Department of Psychology, ranked eighth, while the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in business administration, offered through IU Online and a collaboration between all five IU regional campuses, is ranked 20th nationally.

The IU School of Education rounds out the university’s national rankings with a tie for 30th overall for its online graduate education programs. It also has three program specialties ranked nationally in the top 10: educational/instructional media and design is second, special education is fourth, and educational administration and supervision is seventh. In addition, the school’s specialty in curriculum and instruction ranked 11th.

U.S. News assessed 1,833 and ranked 1,730 online bachelor’s and master’s programs in its 2023 rankings.
