[ad_1]

Last year, a crossover between the Justice League property and Rooster Teeth’s RWBY was announced, and now the film, titled Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One, has a release date.

The upcoming film will be released digitally and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray on April 25, 2023. The digital version of the film will retail for $19.99, while the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack (which also includes a digital version) will cost $39.99. The standard Blu-ray + Digital Version will retail for $29.98 in the United States.

The latest feature-length DC Animated Movie sees Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern, and Vixen not only transported into the world of RWBY, but also transformed into teenagers. In their new bodies, they’ll have to partner with the heroes of Remnant to take down a mysterious, superpowered creature.

Special features on the film will include two new featurettes, “Justice Comes to Remnant” and “You Look…Different,” which include the filmmakers and creators of the film discussing bringing the world of Justice League to Remnant. Also included in the release are two episodes from previous Justice League shows. Those episodes are “Kid Stuff” from Justice League Unlimited, and “Plastic Man Saves the World” from Justice League Action.

Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One features a star-studded cast, including Ozoioma Akagha (Teen Titans Go!) as Vixen, Jen Brown (Red vs. Blue) as Pyrrha, Tiana Camacho (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Glynda, Aaron Dismuke (Fullmetal Alchemist) as Oscar, Jason Douglas (The Walking Dead) as Jacques, David Errigo Jr. (Ridley Jones) as The Flash/Barry Allen and Rolf, Samantha Ireland (Red vs. Blue) as Nora, Miles Luna (Camp Camp) as Jaune, Shannon McCormick (Get Backers, Day 5) as Professor Ozpin, Neath Oum (RWBY: Chibi) as Lie Ren, Tara Platt (Aggretsuko, Naruto: Shippuden) as Kali, Jeannie Tirado (Soul, Saints Row) as Green Lantern, and Tru Valentino (The Rookie, The Cuphead Show!) as Cyborg.

The film is produced and directed by Kerry Shawcross (RWBY franchise), with a script written by screenwriter Meghan Fitzmartin (Supernatural, Justice Society: World War II). This isn’t the first time that the worlds of RWBY and DC have collided, as an RWBY and Justice League crossover comic book series ran for seven issues in 2021 and garnered generally positive reviews from both critics and fans alike.
