Just Salad, a Manhattan-based fast-casual restaurant chain, has opened its first Long Island location in Commack. 

The 1,555-square-foot eatery at 6040 Jericho Turnpike is part of the Just Salad chain’s Long Island expansion that will include new restaurants in Westbury, slated to open next month, and others in Huntington and Oceanside this spring. 

Just Salad will be offering a few in-store promotions at its Commack location over the next several weeks to celebrate the grand opening. Each customer who orders in-store on Wednesday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 5 will receive a discounted $5 meal. Community workers who purchase meals in-store on Wednesday, Feb. 8, will also receive a discounted $5 meal, as will customers who use the restaurant’s reusable bowls for in-store dining on Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5. 

Just Salad offers 15 chef-designed salads, wraps, warm bowls, avocado toast, soups and smoothies. The chain’s Reusable Bowl Program encourages customers to join the company’s effort to reduce waste by purchasing a bowl for $1 and then receive a free salad topping with every reuse. 

Just Salad was founded in 2006 and now has over 70 locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Dubai.
