Jet2 has recently celebrated 15 years of operation to Cyprus on April 2, after the first Jet2.com flight landed in Paphos from Leeds Bradford Airport on April 2, 2008. During the 15 years of operation, Jet2 has won awards for their flights to the country.
Jet2 currently operates 2 routes to the country of Cyprus, with the destinations of Paphos and Larnaca, and one of the destinations are available for travel from both Jet2 and Jet2Holiday’s UK bases.
The celebration
Jet2 has recently celebrated 15 years of operation to Cyprus, just shy of a month after the company celebrated 20 years of operation to Portugal.
The company first arrived in the city of Paphos on April 2, 2008, and has since then expanded into the city of Larnaca.
Since the first route to Paphos in 2008, Jet2 has experienced incredible growth both through Jet2 and tour operator Jet2holidays, having flown nearly two million customers to the destination.
Today, Jet2 and Jet2Holidays operate to paphos from all of the companie’s bases in the UK, with 19 routes on sale and over 700,000 million seats on sale for the summer season.
Larnaca is also available from nine bases of the companies for the Summer 2023 season, in which we find London Stansted, Manchester, Edinburgh and more.
WIth this scale of operations, Jet2 has now acclaimed themselves as the UK’s largest airline operating to Cyprus based on total routes operated.
The upcoming summer season will mark itself as Jet2 and Jet2holidays’ biggest ever summer programme to Cyprus, seeing over 60 flights arriving from the UK during the peak times, weekly.

Overall
It appears Jet2 and Jet2holidays are going a strong summer season in the meet in the Cyprus market, with sixty weekly flights to their Cyprus destinations during peak times and 700,000 million seats on sale.
With customer offerings of great flexibility and award winning flights together with package holidays, this is without doubt looking to be a great season for both customers and the companies themselves.
