TOKYO — Japanese credit card issuer Credit Saison is set to begin a lending business in Brazil and Mexico through subsidiaries as early as this month, with an eye toward expanding overseas earnings beyond Asia.

Credit Saison aims to collaborate with local financial institutions and fintech companies to provide loans to individuals and small to mid-size businesses that have previously had difficulties obtaining funding.
