(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 6 – Business and Made in Italy Minister
Adolfo Urso said Monday that he has signed an agreement with
French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire and German Vice
Chancellor Robert Habeck that will make it possible for the
European Space Agency’s Ariane 6 and Vega C rockets to be
launched.

The officials signed the agreement at the ESA ministerial summit
underway in Seville.
The three-way document sets out a programme of launches up to
2030, the year in which Europe aims to have its first astronaut
land on the moon.

“It an important turning point for Europe, one that is all the
more significant in light of the recent geopolitical events and
can pave the way for broader convergence on defence-industry
policy,” said Urso.

“We wanted to pursue this objective from the early days of the
current parliamentary term, when, in a meeting with Le Maire and
Habeck, we agreed on a politically innovative document that sets
out our countries’ path to follow together in order to lead the
whole of Europe.

“Today’s agreement, therefore, is also a quantum leap which will
have an impact on other strategic sectors.

“It is a success for the trilateral format”. (ANSA).
