An IT consultancy in Bournemouth is looking to double in size on the back of a busy year, its chief executive has told Insider.
QuoStar is a full-service firm providing support, consultancy and security services to mid-market and growth businesses.
Founded in 2005, it works across the professional services, financial and manufacturing sectors.
Chief executive Robert Rutherford spoke to Insider about the “very busy year”.
“We planned to enhance our leadership team and double the size of the business, and we’ve achieved just that; from a client and financial perspective, and also on the headcount.
“It’s not easy growing so quickly whilst also retaining high levels of service, but I don’t think we could really ask for much more from our team. It’s been all hands on deck and everyone has played their part. I’m extremely proud of what we’ve all achieved.”
On the recruitment drive, Rutherford added: “When you recruit capable people with experience and drive, along with values aligned to the business – it can’t help but drive the business, especially when you are working to clear strategies.
“We’ve picked up over 40 new clients in the last 12 months whilst retaining all of our historic base. You can’t do that unless you have strength and depth in all departments within the business; all aligned and delivering what our clients want and need, both now and into the future.”
Over the next 12 months, Rutherford noted that firm will be “very much be up to the same”.
“If it all plays out as defined by our plan and with a fair wind, we should be double the size again. We already have a new office in the North opening in January, and the possibility of one or two others across the sea.
“It should be noted that although our growth is rapid, it’s all controlled and tightly managed, with the core of our focus on delivering for our clients.
“You can’t grow at our rate without tight control and management of the levers – again, that will be a core focus, ensuring we maintain our quality and reputation.”
