ISAAP (International Serviced Accommodation Accreditation Process) has announced a partnership with Shield Safety to help its members gain accreditation.
ISAAP, which offers global standards for corporate housing, serviced apartments and aparthotels, has partnered with Shield Safety to offer expertise on health and safety and to prepare members for ISAAP’s Compliance Accreditation.
Although the preparation will help those members who haven’t yet achieved ISAAP’s accreditation, those who already have it still need to go through the process each year.
While most companies will make every effort to comply with the travel risk management ISO 31030 guidelines, ISAAP says there is still a need to keep up with the ISO guidelines among corporate buyers.
Stephen Martin, managing director of ISAAP said: “We are hearing from our serviced accommodation provider clients that they are being asked more frequently by their corporate customers about whether they have independent verification on safety and security standards. The corporate clients need to know that, by choosing this accommodation provider, they themselves can demonstrate that their compliance with the guidelines for ISO 31030 on Travel Risk Management has been achieved.”
Mark Flanagan, CEO of Shield Safety added: “Working alongside ISAAP to ensure safety standards are high across the serviced apartment sector is extremely important to us… Operators who use our services, and RiskProof software, can demonstrate its due diligence and commitment to managing risk in preparation for ISAAP accreditation.”
