(ANSA) – ROME, APR 19 – Italy’s biggest bank Intesa Sanpaolo
on Wednesday said it was giving some 76 billion euros to help
Italy’s energy transition.
The bank said it was launching a new programme for he energy
transition with a spending ceiling of 76 billion eruos, within
the framework of a wider 410 billion euro plan to support the
EU-funded post-COVID National Recovery and Resilience Plan
(NRRP).
The aim is to favour investments in renewable energy sources and
accelerate the processes of energy autonomy of businesses by
boosting their competitiveness and generating economic,
environmental and social benefits for the community, withing a
standing point of renewed collaboration between the public and
private sectors.
The programme, Italy Energy Transition Engine, also devotes
specific planning to renewable energy communities. (ANSA).
