Interest rates on new mortgages over 4% – Bank of Italy – English

(ANSA) – ROME, APR 12 – The Bank of Italy said Wednesday that
the average interest rate on a new mortgage crossed the 4% mark
in February.

It said the average effective annual percentage rate of charge
was 4.12%, up from 3.95% in January.

It added that the average rate for consumer credit rose to 9.88%
from 9.79% the previous month. (ANSA).
