Fans of I’m A Celebrity 2023 want to know how much money the show’s hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan “Dec” Donnelly make for hosting the show. Here is all you need to know.
How much do Ant and Dec get paid to host I’m A Celebrity?
Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly reportedly get paid £3.3million.
According to various reports, Ant and Dec reportedly make £3.3 million for three to four weeks of hosting duties, essentially a month of hosting I’m A Celebrity and other shows like Britain’s Got Talent. This is significantly more than the pay which they got four years ago, which was reportedly £2.5 million, which is also quite a big chunk of money.
However, Ant and Dec are claimed to earn £3.3 million at the end of each month for their collective hosting of not just I’m A Celebrity, but also other shows like Britain’s Got Talent. This essentially means that they don’t have separate salaries for the shows they are hosting and instead get their promised £3.3 million at the end of each month’s work.
Previously, there were reports of Ant and Dec having signed a “golden handcuffs” deal with iTV, which would net them a hefty £40 million for three years of hosting work. Later, in 2022, The Sun reported that this pay would increase to £50 million if they decided to extend the existing £40 million hosting deal beyond three years.
In 2020, when filming for I’m A Celebrity moved to Wales from Australia during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ant and Dec collectively made £12,000 a day for two years for their hosting work.
Ant and Dec’s pay results in a huge gap between the hosting duo and the highest-paid contestant, Nigel Farage, who is reportedly paid £1.5 million for appearing on the show.
