Stack Identity, a provider of automation identity and access management (IAM) governance solutions, has secured $4 million in seed funding from WestWave Capital and Benhamou Global Ventures. The funds will be used to enhance product development, boost go-to-market efforts, and extend customer outreach to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), mid-market enterprises, and large corporations. Stack Identity announced in a press release that the investment will help the company scale its operations and expand its reach in the IAM market.

Stack Identity, a Silicon Valley-headquartered company with an R&D facility in India, offers cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solutions that proactively identify, remove, and regulate unauthorized, unmonitored, and undetectable shadow access. By leveraging its proprietary algorithm, the Breach Prediction Index (BPI), which combines extensive data and application context, Stack Identity can identify the 2% of dangerous access combinations that affect 90% of data assets. This enables cloud security teams to prioritize and automate remediation processes quickly.

Led by Ambrish Deshpande, Stack Identity serves top-tier businesses in North America and India. The company’s AWS cloud ecosystem features an amalgamation of automated DevOps and manual infrastructure management, ensuring that data exposure risks are continually monitored. The platform enables both security and engineering teams to automate the enforcement of least privilege. Stack Identity’s customer base comprises industry leaders across several sectors.
