Three Idaho business leaders will be inducted into the Idaho Technology Council Hall of Fame for their work in helping other industries to grow and thrive.

Brad Wiskirchen and Douglas and Shelly Sayer will be honored on Nov. 14 during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Boise Centre.

“This year’s inductees demonstrate how Idaho is positioned to help technology companies start, grow and thrive,” said Jay Larsen, ITC’s founder and president. “Brad’s leadership helped Kount dominate the eCommerce industry and the Sayers were instrumental in scaling one of east Idaho’s largest employers. Their legacy sets the standard for what every Idaho entrepreneur should aspire to.

Wiskirchen is the general manager of Equifax Digital Solutions and the founding chief executive officer of Kount, which is a fraud prevention solution for “card-not-present” transactions.

According to a release issued by the ITC, “Kount helps businesses decrease the number of fraudulent online and mobile purchases while boosting sales by accepting more legitimate ones. For its clients, Kount eliminates or considerably reduces manual checks of possibly fraudulent transactions, which lowers credit card chargebacks and significantly lowers fraud, often by more than 90%.”

The company serves more than 9,000 businesses, including Chase, Staples and PetSmart. Kount raised $80 million in equity from CVC Capital Partners in 2015 under Wiskirchen’s leadership. The company was acquired by Equifax in 2021 for $640 million and remains based in Boise.

Shelly Sayer is the chairman of the board and chief financial officer and Douglas Sayer is the chief business officer and co-founder of Premier Technology.

With the Sayers’ leadership, the company grew from one employee from its founding in 1996 to a custom design, engineering and manufacturing facility with 300 employees. It exceeded sales of $100 million in 2018 and has been recognized multiple times as one of the top 75 private companies in Idaho. Its customers include the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense and many clients from the commercial food, mining and nuclear energy industries.
