Accor’s Ibis budget brand is to continue its expansion in the UK with the announcement of two new properties.
A new Ibis Styles in Burton-on-Trent is currently being built and will have 81 rooms when it opens in the second half of 2024.
Ibis will also take over a Premier Inn property in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. The hotel will undergo refurbishment of its 49 rooms before reopening in early 2024 as the rebranded Ibis Coleraine.
The new additions will take the budget brand’s portfolio in the UK up to 119 hotels, including 33 Ibis Budget and 22 Ibis Styles hotels.
Ibis is currently the fastest growing major hotel chain in Europe with 91 properties in the development pipeline.
