Offers initiatives to develop and retain talent. Provides effective on boarding strategies and processes.

Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the sociocultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and mens readyto-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

We are currently seeking a HR Manager for the West Coast who will report to the VP of Human Resources as part of our dynamic team based in New York, New York where our Corporate office is located.

ROLE

The HR Manager – West Coast will participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. This role will work closely with the retail teams to support and strategize talent and guide leaders in coaching and developing their teams. Furthermore, the HR Manager – West Coast will investigate employee relation matters promptly, thoroughly, and discreetly to find a fair resolution for both employees and the company.

MISSION

  • Provides support to management by recommending solutions and various approaches to impact employee development and efficiency.
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition team in the recruitment process for any open positions, new store openings, etc.
  • Store travel for trainings, employee relation matters, and check ins – as needed.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO- 1 report annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Guides leaders to coach and develop teams through the performance management process.
  • Supports retail teams to strategize talent in response to evolving business needs.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Ensures and maintains legal compliance through meetings with internal counsel.
  • Assists in maintaining Human Resource Information Systems records and compiles reports from database.
  • Benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.

Salary Range: $130,000
