In 2023, Singapore has witnessed 10 partnership deals in the medical sector.
Initiatives such as the Advanced and Integrated Manufacturing for Sustainable Growth (AimSG) platform and Healthier SG will help position Singapore as an appealing healthcare hub, GlobalData said.
In a report, GlobalData said that AimSG has been paving the way for more international collaborations that can accelerate the AI-driven revolution in Singapore.
In 2023, Singapore has witnessed 10 partnership deals in the medical devices sector, a commendable pace after 12 similar partnerships in 2022.
Recently, a South Korean medical AI company, Lunit Inc., partnered with NTT DATA Singapore to introduce an AI-driven X-ray solution to Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital.
“Singapore’s public hospitals are leading a transformative shift in the healthcare realm by integrating AI into the medical imaging process. This integration underscores the importance of enhanced international collaborations, which has played a crucial role in propelling rapid advancements in emerging technologies and facilitating improved data-sharing capabilities within the healthcare sector,” Shreya Jain, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, said.
