‘High unemployment’ to be expected if small businesses shut down

Increases in super, supply chain issues, and interest rate rises will cause small businesses to shut down and it is important they are assisted as “they are the largest employer in Australia”, says Small Business Women Australia CEO Amanda Rose.

“People don’t realise that the café they go to to get their coffee are in debt and they’re running at a loss,” Ms Rose told Sky News Australia.

“As soon as they start to shut down, we’re going to get high unemployment.”
