Housing secretary Michael Gove has listed seven English councils that he claims have failed to adopt plans to deal with home building.

Mr Gove was giving a speech outlining plans to speed up planning decisions and see more homes built in England.

The 2019 Conservative manifesto pledged to build 300,000 homes a year by the mid-2020s – but that figure that has not yet been met.
