GoDaddy’s recent study highlights Filipino entrepreneurs’ willingness to adopt digitalization to enhance their business efficiency and foster growth. Survey findings from the GoDaddy Data Observatory 2023 underscore the Filipino business community’s proactive approach toward leveraging technology tools for optimization.
The study by GoDaddy, an internet domain and web hosting company, reveals a significant utilization of digital tools among Filipino respondents, with an overwhelming majority employing internal social networks (84%), collaborative shared drives (72%), data storage/transferring services (67%), and video conferencing (65%). Also, 95% express a readiness to invest more in online sales and marketing this year.

Conducted by Advanis in March 2023 across various countries, the GoDaddy Data Observatory surveyed 4,682 small business owners, including 488 from the Asia Pacific region (from the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand combined). The criteria include companies with 1 to 50 employees.
Customer experience
Recognizing the crucial role of customer experiences, the survey found that Filipino businesses prioritize tools for customer interaction and operational management. These tools include online customer service (71%), digital payment systems (70%), email notifications (67%), online booking systems (63%), and digital invoicing (56%). GoDaddy also noted that 54% utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools, aligning closely with the global average.
The survey underscores the vital significance Filipino businesses attribute to digitization: 82% emphasize web security and a social media presence, while 76% value an online store, and 75% prioritize digital advertising. Notably, 68% have actively sought website protections.
