A new research facility in Singapore will help companies around the world develop better ways to report on sustainability, the Global Reporting Initiative said Thursday.

GRI is partnering with the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation to launch the Sustainability Innovation Lab on Nov. 20. The center will research emerging sustainability disclosure topics and the best way to report them.

“There is a sustainability capacity and expertise gap,” GRI CEO Eelco van der Enden said in a statement. “Our new innovation lab aims to close that gap.”
