To bring quality learning to children in low income communities, Giantsteps Trasjo School has unveiled its first primary school in Alagbado area of Lagos State.
Speaking at the ceremony, the proprietress, Mrs. Erezi Eterigho, said the school is poised to nurture talents and provide qualitative education to children in the area.
She said: “What I am bringing to Alagbado is a quality and refined school. It’s not just about having many schools, but having a good one and that is what my school portrays.
“Giantsteps Trasjo School has a curriculum for creche, nursery, primary and basic education requirements. If any education is not based on solid foundation, it will definitely affect the children in future.”
Eterigho said for quality education to be available for all Nigerians the private sector must continue to intervene and support the government.
Executive Director, Business Development, NEXIM Bank, Stella Okotete, who was a special guest at the event, commended the founder for the gesture, saying the initiative is something Nigerians should invest in, if the fight against insecurity and banditry must be won.
She advised wealthy Nigerians to set up quality schools, noting that if children go to school in a conducive learning environment, they will go back home with a positive mindset.
Executive Chairman, Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, David Famuyiwa, also commended Eterigho for the initiative.
Famuyiwa expressed confidence that the school will bring development to the community.
