Germany, Netherlands and Belgium make first move for 2027 Women’s World Cup

The German Football Association (DFB), Dutch Football Association (KNVB) and Belgian Football Association (RBFA) have become the first applicants to formally express their interest in staging the 2027 Fifa Women’s World Cup following the launch of the bidding process.

The three national associations first outlined their 2027 target in October 2020 and have now made the first official move since the announcement by world football’s governing body last week.
