BERLIN, Nov 14 (Reuters) – Germany’s GDL train drivers’ union said on Tuesday it would go on strike on Wednesday afternoon for 20 hours in the context of wage talks with rail operator Deutsche Bahn (DBN.UL).

The strike will run from 22:00 local time on Wednesday to 18:00 on Thursday, the union said.

“This strike is completely unnecessary,” said Deutsche Bahn human resources director Martin Seiler, noting that there are negotiations on the calendar on Thursday and Friday agreed by both parts.

“The train drivers’ union ignores agreements and acts irresponsibly,” he said.
